Classroom Celebrations can be FUN and HEALTHY!

Consider the following when planning your celebration:

    • ACTIVITY: Games and activities that promote movement are not only fun, but also assist with self-regulation, fitness, and teamwork.
    • FOOD: Carefully consider whether food needs to be a part of your celebration. If it does, try some of our strategies to ensure that you have healthy choices.
    • SHARING: Consider telling others about your healthy celebration. Sharing your ideas will hopefully start to normalize healthy celebrations and inspire others to give it a try! Use our hashtag #Celebr8Healthy
    • VALUES: The choices you make for your class and for your school demonstrate to families and the school community what you feel is most important. Celebrations are a wonderful opportunity to make a positive, healthy impact.
    • STUDENT VOICE: Students have great ideas! Ask for their input.
    • CELEBRATE GOOD CHOICES: Consider signing up for Bright Bites.ca to receive recognition for the healthy choices your class has made. Bright Bites also has some great resources. BrightBites
