1.  Does food need to be a part of your classroom celebration?
  • Consider food allergies, special diets, time of day, purpose of the celebration, etc.
  • If you decide to go 'food free' be sure to inform your families.  Your parent/guardian letter could include a line like this:
    "We will be doing fun activities on ____(date) _____, to celebrate the holiday season.  This is not a formal party, so please save any snacks, treats, or candies for your own home celebrations."
